This is a second (and final) opportunity to have a character from Harry’s new crime thriller, Six Six Six, named after you – or someone you nominate.
This time the character on offer is male.
Please note: the closing date for entries is 12:00 on Sunday 13th September.
The central character in Six Six Six is Detective Sergeant Melissa (Mel) Cooper, who played a major role in Way Beyond A Lie. This time, the character name that’s up for grabs is a serial blackmailer. He is a key player in the story.
The man is a journalist to trade, and this is what Mel has to say about him:
“I don’t know what they teach people at journalism school but clearly this particular student paid close attention at the Being a Nasty Unscrupulous Bastard lectures”.
I should point out the character is adult in his language and behaviour so you may wish to be careful if you’re entering someone else’s name for the competition.
Now, apologies, but there are a few names you can’t enter. They’re reserved for major characters who were in Way Beyond A Lie, and some of those will also appear in Six Six Six.
The reserved first names are: Andrew, Callum, Conor, Dave, Jeff, Ross, Mark, Martin.
And the reserved surnames are: Cooper, Devlin, McKinlay, Hunter, Young.
How to enter:
Go to https://harryfisherwriter.com/contact/
In the “Name” field – put your own name, and the name you’re entering, in the format: Your Name – Competition Name.
In “email” – please put your email address, even if you’re nominating someone else. Please don’t put their address.
In “Message” – Write one sentence that says why the Nasty Unscrupulous Bastard should adopt your name. You can be as creative as you like, and I’ll leave you to define “creative”.
The closing date for entries is 12:00 on Sunday 13th September.
I’ll notify the winner by Monday 14th September, then post the result on the website.
Good luck.
Harry
